<p>A method of assigning a First Sequence to a peptide or polypeptide amino acid sequence, the method comprising reading from one direction of the peptide or polypeptide amino acid sequence and recording at least some of the constituent amino acids in the order in which the amino acids are first encountered so as to generate the First Sequence containing at least some of the constituent amino acids of the peptide or polypeptide, and methods of creating and searching compressed amino acid sequence databases using First Sequences of peptides or polypeptides.</p> |
