摘要 <p>An energy converter adapted to convert thermal energy into another mode of energy and provided with a circulating circuit capable of circulating a working fluid which functions as a liquid heating medium. The circulating circuit has a heating section (8) adapted to heat working steam, a condensation section (10) adapted to condense the working steam and an evaporation section (15) adapted to evaporate a working fluid condensed in the condensation section. A turbine (4) capable of being driven by the working fluid is provided in the portion of the circulating circuit which is between the heating section and condensation section, and the working fluid expands when it passes through the turbine, and thus drives the turbine. The heating section receives thermal energy from the outside of a circulation system and transfers the received heat to the working steam, and the condensation section condenses the working steam flowing out of the turbine, the evaporation section receiving condensation heat radiated by the working steam during the condensation thereof, and evaporating a working fluid, which is produced in the condensation section, with the heat of condensation. The turbine is adapted to convert the thermal energy of the working steam into power, which is outputted as kinetic energy or electric energy to the exterior of the circulation system. The energy converter thus absorbs the external thermal energy and heats the working steam at the heating section thereof, and the heated steam drives the turbine, whereby the thermal energy is converted into the kinetic or electric energy for the turbine. A cooling unit to which such an energy converter is applied absorbs the heat of a comparatively high-temperature indoor environment, cools the indoor environment, and outputs the absorbed heat as electric energy to the outside of a cooling unit system.</p>
