The moulded base strip or rail has an extrusion which is bulged in cross-section. The moulding can have an S-shaped cross-section to allow partial springing back into shaped after insertion onto a gap in the frame of the he cupboard when mounted on the lower wall of the front of the cupboard (30). In the mounted position the upper section of the profile forms a retracted pocket (22). The pocket is cut back at least at its upper edge. the moulding can be formed as a light metal extrusion.
