<p>A system for making spectacles to order in which an operator determines the required specifications of the spectacles inclusive of necessary items concerning the constituent members of the spectacles by an interactive method using means inclusive of a display screen controlled by a computer, characterized in that the operator selects one of base designs of frame that are prepared in advance and displayed on the display screen, and that based on the selected base design, the operator arbitrarily modifies the selected base design and changes the constituent members of the spectacles inclusive of the lenses and other parts in order to determine, on the display screen, the optimum specifications of the spectacles to meet the liking of the person who has ordered the spectacles. Thus, the spectacles of a design determined by giving more importance to the liking of the customer can be quickly ordered according to the procedure considered to be necessary by the operator.</p> |
