<p>A dispenser-applicator assembly (10) is mounted on an aerosol container (12) to dispense and apply a stain to a work surface. The dispenser (19) is molded as one piece of polypropylene and includes a cap-shaped body (20) which is truncated by a support panel (26). An actuator panel (28) is hinged to the support panel (26) by means of a flexible dispensing tube (30), which has a passageway (32) extending through the support panel (26). When the actuator (28) panel is depressed, the stain is dispensed through the passageway (32). A porous applicator (60) is mounted on the support panel (26). To avoid over saturation and dripping from the outer edges of the applicator (40), a tapered liquid reservoir recess (52) is provided behind the central portion of the applicator (60). If the applicator becomes too saturated, auxiliary recesses (57, 58, 59) collect the excess liquid at the central portion of the applicator (60). To enhance liquid transfer to the work surface, slits (98) extend through the applicator (60).</p> |
