<p>This invention provides novel derivatives of 2,3,5,6-tetrahydro-1,2,6-thiadiazin-3,5-dione 1,1-dioxide which are useful as ligand inhibitors for increasing levels of free corticotropin-releasing factor in the brain. Such ligand inhibitors cause release of corticotropin-releasing factor from the corticotropin-releasing factor/corticotropin-releasing factor binding protein complex. Administration of the ligand inhibitors provide improvement in learning and memory, and are useful in decreasing food intake.</p> |
