<p>The invention relates to a radial ball-and-socket joint having a housing and a ball pivot whose articulated ball is stored in a bearing shell in such a way that it can move in all directions. Said bearing shell (1) comprises two parts. Between the top shell (1.1) and the bottom shell (1.2), at least one damping element (2) radially and progressively preloads the articulated ball (3.1) of the ball pivot (3). This damping element is inserted into the housing (4) and has lower Shore hardness than the bearing shell (1).
