Blocking mechanism for office chair

A mechanism blocks the relative movement of two components esp. in an office chair. The mechanism consists of a spindle thread (1) with a disc (4) which is fixed relative to the spindle (1). The disc is secured in place as required by a hand-lever operated brake block (5).
