Positioning and assembling device for vehicle bodywork parts

The positioning and assembling device has fixed gantries at both ends, normal to an assembly line running through the device, with vertical arms to which tenters are attached to feed in, position and join the bodywork parts. A roof element (7) is attached to, but removable from, the vertical arms (4) of the gantry (2) to form a closed frame. The vertical arms of each gantry may be connected by a bottom element (5) to a U-shaped base element of the gantry. The vertical arms may be able to turn on the bottom element.
