Postal sorting and transportation acceleration system method

The method is used to speed up the sorting and transportation of items of postage or freight. The method also simplifies the invoicing process for postage and freight. The transporter provides computer software and/or hardware corresponding to the sender when a service transaction is concluded. The hardware/software must be used to detect the data required for the dispatch of letters or parcels. The hardware/software guarantees that all data required for the logistics and invoicing for the service is detected and printed in the address field of the dispatch forms or paper. The printed information is mechanically read by the transporter and can be processed and used for the logistics and invoicing of the service. An individual machine checkable control code is generated for each letter or item of freight for security purposes. The control code is made up of the address of the recipient, the time of day, the date, the weight and size of the item, the cost of postage, an identification of the sender as well as a continuous numbering or division of these data. The control code is coded or authorised by means of an encoding process which cannot be reversed.
