Production of nano-crystalline titanium di:oxide

Production of nano-crystalline TiO2 in anatase form having a particle size of 10-55 nm comprises reacting a matatitanic acid slurry in water in the presence of a water soluble active component, which decomposes at a temperature above the decomposition temperature of matatitanic acid and the conversion temperature of amorphous TiO2 to anatase but below the temperature of the accelerated crystal growth of TiO2, by heating to 150-400 deg C.
