The water pump casing for a vehicle engine has an irregular cavity (12) with connecting- and mounting surfaces (32, 30). It is made of a temperature-resistant material. In novel design, the casing (10) comprises at least two sections (14, 16) of duroplastic, adhered (22) and sealed together along common, closed peripheral edges (18, 20). These edges are remote from the connecting- and mounting surfaces.
