<p>A container (10) having a closure (12, 100) molded thereon wherein a severed confetti portion (30, 102) of the material (14) of the container (10) is utilized as a portion of the closure (12, 100). The container (10) may have a flip-cap closure (12) or a screw-cap closure (100). The closure (12, 100) may be formed directly on a packaging machine such as a TETRA BRIK® packaging machine or a TETRA REX® packaging machine. The utilization of the confetti portion (30, 102) in the closure (12, 100) prevents waste and lessens the material needed and costs of the closure (12, 100). The confetti portion (30, 102) may also be used as a membrane on the closure (12, 100).</p> |
