COMPLEMENTARY HANDGRIP FOR BICYCLE HANDLEBAR

The invention relates to a complementary handgrip for a bicycle handlebar, particularly appropriate to be mounted on the conventional handlebar of racing bicycles such as the well known goat horn. The technical sector to which this invention pertains concerns handgrips but specially for bicycles. The problem to be solved is to provide a more appropriate biomechanical hold by the user of the bicycle handlebar. This handgrip is designed to be mounted to the rectilinear section of said handlebar and to provide an improved hand hold as well as a more physiological position of the particular chain of the upper part. This, as a consequence, has effects on the rachis and beneficiates the breathing process. The invention presents a body with an irregular approximately conical configuration of which the axis is substantially inclined and has a rounded apex so that the hand acquires a position turned towards supination with respect to the axis of the handlebar. The device is comprised of two elements, a rigid element and an elastomer element which is very thick and deformable in order to adapt itself to the hands of any individual and provide a more confortable hold.
