Securing device for yarn ends on pressed bale

The securing device has a finger (42) for moving a yarn end into engagement with the pressed bale and moves the yarn end under already existing yarn windings to secure it. The finger is displaceable by a motor and can be swivelled through an entrainment member by the movement derived from the movement of the pressed bale. The bearing of the finger and entrainment member against the bale takes place in dependence on the operation of a yarn cutter. The entrainment member is mounted to enable it to swivel in the direction of movement of the bale and has a gripper.
