The invention relates to a water control device having a connection to a cold water pipe, a hot water pipe, a hot water outlet and a cold water outlet. Il also has a connection to a controllable water diversion device which diverts hot water into the cold water pipe when its temperature falls short of a predetermined minimum. Existing water mixing valves have the disadvantage that, while the cooled hot water is being pumped over into the cold water pipe, cold water already comes out of the water mixing valve. This certainly enables energy to be economized, but much more water could be saved.
