MEMBRANE FORMED ON A SOLID SUBSTRATE

摘要

A membrane which mimics a biological membrane comprises a thin film of amphiphilic molecules deposited as a lamellar bilayer on a solid substrate. The bilayer further incorporates bridging molecules having a chain length sustantially greater than that of the amphiphilic molecules. The bridging molecules comprise a C30-40 alkyl or alkenyl chain.
