A hose placed on a nozzle is secured by a circular spring clip made of a length of strip metal (2), one end of which is U-shaped with a raised bridge (6) and first projecting flange (12). The second end has a tongue (8) inserted between the U-side shanks under the bridge (6) of the first end, and bearing a projecting flange (14) which slides past the first projecting flange (12) to interlock back to back. Also claimed is a hand tool to simplify opening and closing the clip.
