Paper feed for copier and printer

The printer/copier has a number of parallel feed paths for the paper sheets and with at least two pivot mounted guide elements (40,41) which can be moved between a guide position for the sheets and an open position for access to remove blocked sheets. The guide elements are moved by a control mechanism (54) which also controls the setting of the return feed mechanism, for duplex output. The control element lifts the printing/pressure elements off the paper feed to enable blocked paper sheets to be removed with ease.
