The invention relates to a seat substructure for a bench seat or an individual seat in a motor vehicle, specially a camper, comprising a frame for a seat support and means of securing the frame to the floor of the vehicle, wherein the frame (1, 1a, 2, 3) has two vertical supporting metal sheets (1, 1a) extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. Said sheets are connected to other frame sections (2, 3) extending cross-wise in relation to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and can be adjusted to fixing means provided for the floors of different types of motor vehicles.
