<p>A portable rack (1) for storing and transporting welding equipment such as a welding hose (2B), gages, controls (2A) and a torch (2C), is configured so that the portable rack (1) can be easily removably mounted on a standard welding gas tank (3), such as an oxygen tank. The storage rack (1) includes a vertically extending rack body (10) with a hose support member (15) on which the welding hose (2B) can be coiled for storage, a mounting member (20) extending from the top of the rack body (10), and a support yoke (30) extending from the bottom of the rack body (10). The mounting member (20) is preferably a circular ring dimensioned to fit snugly, but removably on the neck (3B) at the top of the welding gas tank (3). The support yoke (30) is preferably an arc-shaped member dimensioned to rest fittingly against the side (3A) of the welding gas tank (3). A hanger bar (40) is provided at the top of the rack body (10) to hang the gages and controls (2A) therefrom, and a hook (50) is provided at the top of the rack body (10) to hang the torch (2C) therefrom. The welding hose (2B) and other accessories may be hung on the rack (1), and then the rack (1) may be easily carried from a storage location to a welding job site, where the rack (1) may then be lifted onto the welding gas tank (3) for neatly, safely, and conveniently managing great lengths of welding hose (2B) and other welding accessories.</p> |
