PURPOSE:To provide the subject medium capable of easily collecting in large quantities the spores of Clostridium nigrificans, esp. Clostridium thermohydrosulfricum, and to provide another version of the subject medium capable of obtaining spores having adequate heat resistance in the heat resistance tests in beverages. CONSTITUTION:The objective medium containing yeast extract, sodium sulfide, 4-morpholine propanesulfonic acid and xylose. Another version of the objective medium containing ammonium chloride, sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, dihydrogenalkali salt of phosphoric acid, dialkali salt of hydrogenphosphoric acid, iron sulfate, resazurin sodium salt, sodium sulfide, yeast extract, 4- morpholine propanesulfonic acid and xylose. |
