The target detection device has a laser source (12) and an optomechanical tracking device (14), allowing the laser beam to follow the target (28), with detection and evaluation of the laser light reflected from the target for controlling the tracking device. The reflected laser light is detected via a photovoltaic 4-quadrant detector (36), defining 2 orthogonal spatial coordinates, the electronic evaluation circuit (18) provided with signal inversion switches (S1,S2,S3,S4) for compensating temperature variations and aging. |
