<p>A process is described which solves a modelling problem of an input/output system. An evaluation function, which indicates deviations of measured initial values of the real system from the initial values of the model, is optimized by determining on the computer gradients which represent local derivatives of the evaluation function at predetermined values of system parameters and an initial state vector. The evaluation function is minimised with the aid of the gradient function, and the system is represented in an optimised manner by the model. The process models complex technical, for example chemical or biological, systems.</p> |
