Contact levers 2, 3, operated by a cam 6 a are made of bimetal for thermal operation also. At least one lever has a copper strip 11 to carry the current and render its associated lever responsive only to the temperature of the surrounding medium. Screws 14, 15, provided with precious metal tips, constitute adjustable fixed contacts for these two levers. Contact levers 4 and 5 are also operated by cam 6a but do not comprise bimetal. An additional bimetal contact lever 16 with corresponding fixed contact 17 may be provided. This is not cam-operated and may be utilized as a master switch to operate when associated apparatus overheats. |
