A first section (18) of the board (7) can be secured to one side edge (5) of the opening (11) in the mouth of a trawler net (10) used for fishing. A second section (19) can be attached to a drag line (6) from a boat. The main part of the board comprises a round plate whose plane extends in the drag direction of the net, which experiences pressure applied to it as it is pulled through the water. The two board sections are joined to the plate by a bearing which allows the plate to rotate when it is being dragged along the sea bed.
