PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such an anode container for a sodium-sulfur battery as being capable of restricting a softening speed due to annealing at a temperature (300-350 deg.C) in use of the sodium-sulfur battery, maintaining excellent strength at a high temperature without deteriorating machinability and a durability and contributing to lighter weight and a lower cost. SOLUTION: An anode container for a sodium-sulfur battery which is formed of aluminum alloy to store sulfur and sodium polysulfide as anode active material is in an aluminum alloy recrystallizated granular structure to be further recrystallized at a site during a high temperature when in use of the sodium- sulfur battery.
