HEADLAMP FOR MOTOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlamp for a motor vehicle which optimally shuts off a light beam. SOLUTION: A headlamp for a motor vehicle has a light source 2, a reflector 1, and a refractor 5. The refractor 5 has a decorated optical system extending a little without a deviation element. The light source 2 is intercepted from below with a light shield board 3. The light shield board 3 provides an asymmetrical shutoff to the side near the center line of a road. This shutoff enables light from the light source 2 to pass to the lower side of the horizontal axis (z) of the headlamp. And the reflector 1 in the shape of a basic paraboloid 4 is provided with a zone 6 of reflection element 7 almost vertical at the minus side of (z) axis near the center line of the road. The upper line 8 of the zone 6 is located up on a curve 9 and the bottom line 10 of the zone 6 is under a position vector 11 extending downward from the center (c) with respect to the horizontal axis (z).
