PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a vinyl-chloride-grafted copolymer which can form e.g. a film or a sheet reduced in the formation of fish eyes when molded. SOLUTION: In a process for producing a vinyl-chloride-grafted copolymer by grafting 40-90 wt.% vinyl chloride or a mixture thereof with an ethylenically unsaturated monomer copolymerizable therewith onto 10-60 wt.% ethylene/ carboxylic vinyl ester copolymer by radical polymerization, a radical initiator comprising 25-100 wt.% azo organic compound and 0-75 wt.% organic peroxide is used as the initiator for the polymerization reaction.
