PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid detective recording due to peeling miss of a seal at the time of replacing a cartridge by making a fitting hole in the main scanning direction of an ink cartridge and disposing a peeling member to be inserted into the fitting hole through a seal at a position opposite to the fitting hole. SOLUTION: Upon recognizing the end of replacing work of a cartridge 10, a recorder moves a carriage 6 to shift the cartridge 10 to a seal peeling member 12, which is then inserted into a slip 10c. Consequently, a seal 11 is pulsed into along with the seal peeling member 12 and peeled off from the cartridge 10. Subsequently, the carriage 6 shifts the cartridge 10 to a reference position where an image signal is waited. According to the arrangement, the seal can be peeled off surely even if it is missed to be peeled off and a situation where ink is not jetted due to peeling miss of the seal can be eliminated. |
