PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain communication between a hand-free unit and the portable telephone set through an infrared ray communication port by having only to mount the portable telephone set 1 to a up of a hand-free unit. SOLUTION: A mount detection means 6 detects mount of the mobile telephone set 1 mounted on the holder 3 and an infrared ray communication control means 5 starts a communication program through the detection. Thus, the user has only to mount the mobile telephone set 1 onto the holder 3 to start the infrared ray communication program between the both thereby establishing a communication connection. In comparison with starting the communication program between infrared ray communication communication ports 4, 9 in the case of using the mobile telephone set, a time required for the negotiation from the start of the infrared ray communication program till entering actual data communication is apparently decreased and the operating convenience is improved. |
