PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce the colors of original as desired by providing an area designating means for original and a color designating means for designating any color, and changing a color in the designated area of image data on the read original, based on the designated color. SOLUTION: A gradation processing part performs the γ conversion and color conversion of image data. An original image is read by prescan and displayed on a display 820 and while watching that displayed image, a user designates any image area by using a cursor key 813 and a determination key 814. Besides, a color table to be frequently used for designating any color is previously stored in a read/write memory 630 RAM or a non-volatile memory 630 NON and printed by an image forming part. When selecting any designation color, the read image is displayed on the display 820, the user designates any image area while using the cursor key 813 and the determination key 814 and next, the printed registered color is designated by a number. The gradation processing part controls color balance or a γ conversion table so as to match it with the designated color. |
