PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost for storage and transportation by eliminating the volume of a hollow part during storage and transportation and by restoring when necessary the hollow part to a shape as designed as to a cushioning material for packaging made of reusable sheet product such as corrugated paper having a hollow body. SOLUTION: This cushioning material contains a hollow body 1 having a plurality of hollow parts 10 which have polygonal cross section and one corner part of which runs parallel in a state in which the same is positioned in an opposing direction to each other. A folding ruled line A1 which can be folded to protrude toward the outside of the hollow part 10 along the longitudinal direction of the hollow part 10 is provided in a facing sheet part 11 facing one corner part of each hollow part 10 constituting the hollow body 1 at the position where the cross section peripheral length of the hollow part 10 is divided into two with one corner part.
