PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit and an image processing method where electronic watermark information claiming the copyright is added in real time to photographed digital image data without using a large scale system. SOLUTION: Image data received from a CCD 101 that is an image pickup means applying photoelectric-conversion to an object light from an object are received by a digital image data generating means 102 via terminals (a) c1 of a switch 107 and watermark information data (copyright data) stored in a watermark information storage means 105 are received by the digital image data generating means 102 via terminals (e)c2 of the switch 107 respectively. The digital image data generating means 102 generates coded compression data such as JPEG that results from adding the watermark information to the image data and gives the data to a storage means 103 such as a memory card via terminals (f), (g)of a switch 108. |
