PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic document retrieving system capable of inputting a retrieval request by a foreign language, easily retrieving a required electronic document and utilizing the retrieved document. SOLUTION: The electronic document retrieving system 1 is constituted of an electronic document management system 10 connected to a computer communication network L1 and plural language translation serviers 11a to 11n. The system 10 stores much electronic documents and an index file for retrieving all documents and quickly retrieves an electronic document list or the like matched with a retrieving condition. The servers 11a to 11n respectively convert respective retrieval requests of native languages inputted from user terminals 20a to 20n existing in plural nations e.g. through the network L1 into respective retrieving conditions and input the retrieving conditions to the system 10, automatically substitute respective words corresponding to respective native languages for each Japanese text word and return the substituted words to respective terminals 20a to 20n. |
