PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain the subject dispersion having extremely excellent re-peelability and useful as various pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes by subjecting an ethylenic unsaturated monomer and a dimethylpolysiloxane to radical polymerization. SOLUTION: This aqueous resin dispersion is obtained by subjecting (A) a radically polymerizable ethylenic unsaturated monomer and (B) dimethylpolysiloxane having radically polymerizable unsaturated double bond in a molecule to radical polymerization in the presence of (C) an emulsifier (preferably a reactive emulsifier), (D) a polymerization initiator and water as essential components. Preferably, a size of oil drop of a dropped monomer is adjusted to <=0.5μm by using a pipeline mixer and an average particle diameter of the objective dispersion is <=100 nm, and a monomer having a carboxyl group in an amount of 0.5-5 wt.% based on the whole monomer is used as the component A.
