<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently form a granular material using a dechlorinated waste plastic at waste plastic regenerating facilities. SOLUTION: This granulating device is made up of a mesh screen 4 provided below the melting tank 1 of a dechlorinated device and a jet nozzle 3 of almost cylindrical form which constitutes a cooling medium jetting mechanism. From the tip of the jet nozzle 3, water as a cooling medium is spewed out at a high pressure. A molten waste plastic 2 delivered from the delivery aperture of the melting tank 1 drops onto the mesh screen 4, and further, passes through the mesh screen 4. In this case, the molten waste plastic 2 is cooled and set up by the cooling medium jetted from the jet nozzle 3 at a high pressure and at the same time, the waste plastic in a half set up state after undergoing a process from a molten to a set-up condition, is pressed downward by the cooling medium jetted from the jet nozzle 3 at a high pressure on the mesh screen 4. In addition, the waste plastic is molded into a granular waste plastic 6 of such a size as to allow itself to pass through the mesh screen 4 by the downward pressure and the mesh of the mesh screen 4, and the granular waste plastic 6 is finally set up into a granular material.</p> |
