<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the coordinate input device and its control method which enables automatic parallax correction in the process of normal input operation and improves the usability. SOLUTION: The coordinate value of an indicated input position is detected and on the basis of the detected coordinate value and a previously set input area, corresponding key data is outputted (steps S100, S101, and S102). At this time, the detected coordinate value is stored in a memory while made to correspond to the input area (step S103). When the number of coordinate values which are stored in the memory and correspond to the input area reaches a specific number, the position distribution of the coordinate values stored in the memory is calculated (steps S104 and S105). Here, the geometrical center of the coordinate values stored in the memory is found. Then the input area is so moved that the found geometric center comes to the center of the input area.</p> |
