PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a user to identify a currently available function with a simple method, to provided clear display of an operation function, to eliminate misoperation and to improve operability by displaying the operation function of a PHS simplified portable telephone set, which is used only in a house mode by means of a display unit. SOLUTION: In the use of a PHS simplified portable telephone set as a portable telephone set by connecting it to a public base station in a public mode, and in the house mode by using it as a slave machine of a cordless telephone set in the house mode, an extension key for calling an extension call for a master machine or other slave machines is used in common with a holding key 24 and a catch phone button responding to the call from other line wires via the master machine is used in common with a registration button. Display of the line wire and catch phone is displayed on the display unit 21 above the keys. When an extension catch function does not operate in the public mode, the display of the extension line and catch is not executed, and display is executed only in the house mode. Thus, a panel front face arrangement is simplified and it is easily viewed. |
