PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent abnormal vibration during spinning operation. SOLUTION: A drum is rotated (S1) at such a rotating speed that washing is stuck to the inner peripheral wall of the drum to be rotated, and an eccentric amount X is detected from the fluctuating amplitude of a motor driving current at that time (S2, S3). According to the load amount (amount of washing), a coefficient of correction is set (S4-S10), and the eccentric amount X is multiplied by the coefficient C of correction to calculate the corrected eccentric amount X1 (S11). The corrected eccentric amount X1 is compared with the reference value A (S12), and if X1<A, it is judged that the vibrating amplitude is within the allowable value, and the shift to spinning rotation occurs (S14). Thus, detection difference of eccentric amount depending on the load amount (even if with the same fluctuating amplitude, the actual eccentric amount is different) and the difference of vibration restraining effect during spinning rotation can be corrected at the same time so as to enable accurate judgement on the eccentric amount without any influence of load amount and neither too much nor too less.
