PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material which exhibits bactericidal and deodorizing actions, can decompose org. substances, effectively contains a very useful photocatalytic substance, and is not degraded by the photocatalytic substance by incorporating a photocatalytic filter into a fluorine-contg. material. SOLUTION: A fine particulate photocatalytic filler pref. being spherical particles with particle sizes of 3-50μm, capable of being produced by low-temp. flame spraying, and comprising a metal compd. [e.g. TiO2 (titania), CdSe, SrTiO3 , TO2 , CdS, or CdTe] is incorporated into a fluorine-contg. material (e.g. a fluorine-contg. coating material or a fluororesin molding). Titania, pref. of anatase type, is suitabe as the metal compd. The content of the photocatalytic filler in a compsn. comprising a fluorine-contg. coating material and the filler is pref. 5-59 wt.%, still pref. 30-70 wt.%. esp. pref. 45-55 wt.%.
