<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper discharge mechanism that can select either side of a face-up direction, turning an image surface upward, and a face-down direction, turning it upside down, as the loading direction of paper to be loaded on a paper discharge part, without requiring any large setup space in the of an image former. SOLUTION: In the case where a face-down direction is selected as the loading direction of recording paper P, a turn guide plate 31 is rocked to a guide position from a stand-by position separating from the recording paper P at a span of timing when this recording paper P is reached to a position being just before a paper discharge roller pair 11. The recording paper P to be discharged out of a paper discharge guide path 9 by this paper discharge roller pair 11 comes into contact with a guide surface 31b of the turn guide plate 31 moved to the guide position, and it is curved into being U-shaped form along the guide surface 31b, while it slides to this surface 31b. With this slide motion, the recording paper P is guided so as to make its tip part be loaded on a paper discharge part 33 and simultaneously its surface is turned over so as to make the loading direction on this paper discharge part 33 become the face-down direction.</p> |
