PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the two-dimensional stage of small height size by providing an expanding and contracting means which expands and contracts electrically or magnetically, operating devices equipped with their fixing means, and a support base which receives the operating devices movably. SOLUTION: The stage 10 for an article includes a mount base 12 where the article is mounted, two couples of operating devices 14 which are incorporated in the mount base 12, and the support base 16 which receives the operating devices 14 movably. Each operating device 14 is equipped with an expanding and contracting device 22 using an expanding and contracting element which expands and contracts electrically or magnetically in at least one direction and a couple of fixing devices 24 which are coupled with the expanding and contracting device 22 at an interval in the expanding/contracting direction so that they are displaced to and away from each other as the expanding and contracting device 22 expands and contracts. Then this support base 16 receives the operating device 14 movably in one of a 1st or a 2nd direction crossing each other in a plane parallel to the mount surface 20 of the mount base 12. Each operating device 14 is arranged at a distance from the center part of the mount base 12. |
