PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the protection tool and method for an IC card which can cope with both static electricity and electromagnetic noises. SOLUTION: An IC card store area is prescribed by means of a conductor layer 7 and an insulating electromagnetic shielding layer 8, and an IC card having an active element is stored in the IC card store area through a slit 6. It's desirable to store the IC card into its store area in such an attitude where the contact terminal part of the card is set opposite to the parts of both layers 7 and 8. It's also desirable for the layer 8 to contain the metallic or soft magnetic powder, the dielectric powder and an organic binder. Furthermore, it's desirable that the metallic or soft magnetic powder has a flat and/or needle shape and are oriented in parallel to the surface of the IC card in a layer shape. |
