PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a creak by providing a friction reducing layer between the upper section and/or side section of a riser and the lower face of a tread and/or the support grooves on the side faces of girder plates. SOLUTION: The upper section of a riser 1 is coupled with a support groove 3 bored on the lower face of the front section of a tread 2, and both side sections of the riser 1 are coupled with the support grooves 5 bored on the side faces of girder plates 4 to fit the riser 1. A friction reducing layer 6 made of a resin film, a paint, or a wax having a sliding property is provided at the upper section and/or both side sections of the riser 1 or in a support groove 3 anchor a support groove 5. A cushion material such as sponge is provided between the bottom section of the support groove 3 and the friction reducing layer 6 at the upper section of the riser 1 to absorb a collision sound as required. Even if a drift is generated between members when a person ascends or descends a staircase, the occurrence of a creak can be prevented by the friction reducing layer 6, the abrasion of coupling sections is prevented, and durability can be improved. |
