<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an energy saving effect by effecting lock up control even during operation of a constant speed running device. SOLUTION: In a control device 171 for an automatic transmission provided with a lock up control means 171A to effect connection control between the input and output elements of a torque converter clutch, the control device comprises an electronic throttle control device 150; accelerator opening detecting means 51A and 51B; a constant speed running device 200; and a target throttle valve opening setting means 16A to calculate a pseudo accelerator opening during operation of the constant speed running device 200 and set a target throttle valve opening based on the pseudo accelerator opening. The lock up control means 171A performs connection control based on a pseudo accelerator opening when the constant speed running device 200 is under operation. When the constant speed running device 200 is under non-operation, connection control is effected based on the accelerator openings detected by the accelerator opening detecting means 51A and 51B.</p> |
