Power supply for portable electrical and electronic equipment

The power supply has a cuboid enclosure (2) with a slot (13) at one end to allow insertion of different physical power connectors (4). A number of connectors can be provided, each with connection pins laid out to accommodate local pin configurations, and a cigar lighter plug can be slid into place to provide DC connection in a motor vehicle. The underside of the slot accepting the different connectors has terminals corresponding to the underside of the different AC connectors and to the underside of the DC connector. These connect to an electronic circuit inside the housing that provides voltage conversion.
