PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image position detecting method capable of measuring an image position even if great noises are superimposed on a pattern. SOLUTION: An image of an object is taken by a CCD camera, and image data is given to an image processing device. The image processing device originates horizontal and vertical projection data from the image data, detects horizontal and vertical points of changes in a pattern by differentiating the projection data horizontally and vertically, compares the pattern of the detected points of changes with a preregistered pattern to detect the coincidence of the patterns, and determines the position of the former pattern. |
