PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image while gradually increasing resolution by using a wavelet conversion. SOLUTION: The data converted by a wavelet conversion part 43 and compressed by a data compression part 44 are transmitted through a communication channel 60, and the data are expanded by an expansion part 51 to be inputted to a wavelet inverse conversion part 52. The image data obtained in the process to successively inverse-convert wavelet from a low-order frequency component toward a high-order frequency component are written in a frame buffer 54 by a memory control part 53 to be display on a display 55. First of all, a rough outline of an original image is displayed, and thereafter, minute contents are displayed gradually. |
