<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a memory request in printing in an image sub-system for printer which supports plural printer personalities. SOLUTION: This image sub-system 40 for printer is provided with a common display list pipe line 44 synthesized so that access can be performed by plural printer personalities 42(1)-(n). For example, the object table of each of those plural personalities is registered in a display list in the sub-system during the initialization of the printer so that each personality can perform access to the display list pipe line. When the personality in the print is selected and executed, the personality processes an input data stream according to the object in the display list, and converts it into a data format which can be used by a print engine.</p> |
